A brand new beginning to 2012, Top on my eating list, Restoran Tong. But not for its Bak 


ku teh, but rather a lesser known dish..Hainanese Eight treasures. Not many people are 


aware of this particular dish..even the regulars, is because it only available on weekends and 


public holidays..

So what is so special about this dish? well it tasted a but like nonya chap chye, as well as 


poon choy. But its that kind of dish that will grow on you...u might not find it spectacular at 


first..but after having it..I crave for it ...

There are certain rules in this place as well.

1) Don't feed the stray dogs

2) No top up in soup

3) Pay at counter after meal.

4) Take aways for left over food is charge at 50 cents a packet.

5) Do not order steam fish if u are in a hurry.

海南八宝菜


新的一年，开始了我想吃已久的东肉骨茶。


有去过那里的食客，一定会知道那里实在难找。不过，我就喜欢这种非大众化的美食。

其实，东肉骨茶，最出名的，并非肉骨茶，而是他家的海南八宝菜。因为，只有在周末和假日


才有卖，所以，不是很多人知道。

那到底八宝菜是什么？其实，他的味道是好像nonya杂菜和盆菜的结合体。料方面有鱼鳔，豆


腐，腐竹，濡猪肉相当大份，可以吃两个人。

如果没吃过的人，可以去试试看。


墙壁有大字报，

1）请不要喂野狗

2）赶时间不要叫蒸鱼

3）吃不完打包，一包5毛

4）肉骨茶，不可以加汤

Specially made chilli, tasted a bit sour and hot at the same time

Steam Kampung Chicken is another favorite dish here

Lots of "signages" here to "advise" customers the dos and don'ts

They will put up their rest days..it is 1 week from the day
