Meldrum Walk (Non-Halal zone)

Meldrum Walk 可说得上当地最出名的露天小贩中心。一共分成Halal， 与non-halal 区。
与世纪花园小巷的露天小贩相比，这里胜在选择多样化，但是通风方面就没那么理想。油烟味比较严重。不过，吃露天小贩就是要有这种体验才精彩不是吗？
在网友提供的线索下，我们来吃以下的摊位。
1） 炒粿条
2） 蚝煎
3） 烧鱼

Free seating, but try to order drinks from the nearest stall, its an unspoken rule.

This popular RM 3.50 Char Kway teow stall, is already the third generation. 

Ingredients are very basic, just hums and bean sprouts..taste quite different from Singapore style CKT, as it is not sweet. slightly oily in my opinion. FOOD : 3/5

有一点要提的是这里有两摊卖炒粿条，比较受欢迎的，是那档在烧鱼傍边的。
以下是个人口味评语。
据了解，这档炒粿条已经经营了三代，可说是老字号。论口味，他属于比较带咸，配料则只有鲜蛤
豆芽，没有腊肠，虾，鱼饼之类的配料, Rm 3.50 整体，简单不失美味，可惜个人觉得稍微油了点。食物：3／5

Nice Fried Oyster...

RM 6 Fried Oyster is the star of that night...the eggs and tapioca is fried in a way with moisture, and  very soft. Food: 4/5

蚝煎，Rm 6 是我当中最喜欢的，虽然和新加坡的蚝煎味道不同，还是好吃。因为，鸡蛋和薯粉煎的柔软，
蚝不会太干，还保留水份。新加坡蚝煎口味是薯粉和鸡蛋煎到脆脆的，蚝也用比较大的。食物：4／5

BBQ Sting Ray, This Ikan Bakar is nice, with its special balachan, fish is fresh and juicy. FOOD: 3.8/5

烧鱼，RM19 sambal 辣椒非常香辣，合我胃口，最难得的是鱼肉的水份，还保持着。新鲜更是不在话下。食物：3.8/5

Meldrum Walk is one of the most famous street hawker area in JB, a must try if you are in JB. The open air back alley dining is already diminishing even in JB. Another one that I could think of will be the one at Taman Century Back alley..which I previously went to. Comparing this two location, there are definitely more food choices here as compare. One thing to note is that Meldrum Walk is separated by Halal and Non- Halal zone.. So if you are looking for cheap hawker fare, do drop by and experience it for yourself!!
