只要在JB一提到Ais Kacang，你常常就会听到＂彩虹陈记＂这家老字号。地点就在三楼海鲜对面小贩中心。小弟两年前初到JB时，就已经尝试过，但是觉得不这么样。但是，最近友人又再度强力推荐，所以，决定再试试看，以肯定她的水准。

这个当口，有三样比较受欢迎的食品，Ais Kacang，Tau hu bakar 还有Rojak. 由于我一个人食量有限只点了其中两样。

Where can you find the best Ais Kacang in JB? Ask this question, and most people would recommend Tan Kee at Pelangi. The location is just opposite the famous "San Lou Seafood" at Jalan biru. Located at the corner stall of that hawker center, it is hard to miss it, with the various recommendations from the papers. This is in fact the 2nd time I'm here at the stall, I had once 2 years ago..the taste wasn't to my expectation, but recently there are so many rave reviews on this stall's rojak and Ais kacang, that I decided to give it a second chance.

There are 3 popular dish here , Ais Kacang, Tauhu Bakar, and Rojak, as I'm alone I can only go for 2.

The Version of this Rojak has a watery rojak paste, which I don't like. In fact a good Rojak should use a thick and fragrant shrimp paste. The Tau hu and Fried diughstick is BBQ to give a crispy exterior, that is plus.. Overall taste 2/5 Rojak 酱很水，不是那种浓稠的。虾膏味道不香，吃了不是

很过瘾。唯一不同的是油条有烤过，所以较舒脆。味道：2／5 

The Signature Chocolate Ais Kacang's Main selling point is the free flow of chocolate. However, I find the chocolate taste very ordinary, which I  can find in a lot of stalls in Singapore.Taste: 3/5 陈记的Ais Kacang 主要以巧克力酱出名，任由你加。我吃后感言，很普通。基本上，和我在新加坡吃的没什么不同。味道：3／5

整体，个人觉得食物名过其实，挡主也不是很有礼貌，可能有点名气就高傲起来。
To sum things up, The stall owner's obnoxious attitude makes it all the worst..  I classified this stall as one that has the fame but just don't taste and live up to it...I would give a miss.

FOOD: 3/5 - Food is acceptable, nothing special though, but the Chendol is a 4/5 for me. 味道普通, 鱼圆就比较输。。。chendol=好吃。。。

Simple frontage...

Hakka Cai Ban, 2 favours, Jiu cai and suan ( Leek)..not bad but skin not thin enough

The Beng kuih skin is too thick, but the carrot cake is surprisingly not bad

Ang Gu Kuih skin is too soft, but fillings is sweet and nice..Kueh Lapis, not to my liking, lacks Pandan taste

a favorite Hang out for the locals, for Hi tea at TUTA area..

FOOD: 2.8/5 everything tasted average..but lots of variety makes it a winner

Service: 3.5/5 friendly service from the lady boss, always wearing a smile

Environment: 3.5/5 Air-con dessert , snack place.

Overall: 3/5 worth visiting if u are in that area, becos they serve lots of traditional dessert at very affordable prices..plus the air con environment, ensure u enjoy your dessert without breaking a sweat!

Tiramisu of Gianni's Trattoria cafe

有次想吃tiramisu,24孝老公下班后跑去gianni's打包回来给我。。我超爱吃也專吃tiramisu,所以對tiramisu的要求很高。。我只能说giannis tiramisu非常好吃。。入口即溶，手指餅的咖啡酒味道沾得恰恰好，不像好多家吃到苦味。。如果要打分，我會給它4.5/5

Everytime I grave for a Tiramisu, my hubby will always rush to Gianni's to have a take away for me. As I LOVE Tiramisu so much, I have develop very high expectations and standards whenever I have one. In my opinion, Gianni's Tiramisu, is excellent by my standards...it literately MELTS in your mouth, the finger biscuits had been soaked in coffee flavored liquor with the right amount, not too bitter. If i have to to grade this Tiramisu...I would gladly give it a 4.5/5 !!!

Black Ball VS Taroyami -Battle of the Taiwan desserts!!

Another Fad food in JB that is rising in popularity is Taiwanese dessert Yam and tapioca balls.. This food review article is submitted, and written to compare two of the most popular brand in JB currently...Blackball located in KSL shopping Mall VS Taroyami, at Sutera Mall.

个人觉得如果环境来说：taroyami空间比较大,人多吵杂声就还好
价钱：KSL尾于新山地点比taroyami 便宜 1点点*相同物品*
食物：个人认为blackball胜出, 至少很让我回味哈哈

Food: Blackball wins in terms of taste hands down!!

终于来了~~~麻坡kitty为主题的餐厅(｡◕‿ ◕｡)♥  Finally Reach my destination!! Hello Kitty Cafe in Muar!!

Nice door design, even comes with a trademark Ribbon of Kitty

咖哩鸡饭我个人觉得味道还不错啦~~但是有些人就觉得不好吃

因为JB还没有Kitty为主的店。。哈哈

Sweet Revolution// 尚食堂

What is the latest fad business in JB now? I would say is dessert business. From the start of U dessert to the latest Sweethut, these shops are mushrooming out like nobody's business.
Sweet revolution is one these many shops, I was impress by their decor, and dessert presentation, and decide to pop by that day as around that area.

Guess what? at 3 pm , most crowded time for tea break..this shop... is totally vacant..no business at all...
Luckily the boss is quite polite and serve us before I change my mind...

Here's what I ordered, Chocolate Lava cake ( supposed to be their signature dessert) and green bean soup

Food: 2/5 the green bean soup is too diluted for my liking..dosent have enough coconut milk to make enhance its fragrance...Homecook looks better than this, lava cake with green tea ice cream.. well firstly, green tean ice cream didn't go well with chocolate..next the lava cake is in a bowl..dun really like the idea, as this means the baker's skills are not on par yet...

Ambiance: 1/5  nice decor, bit located next to a garage, with noise every 5 mins..just dosen't make me any relax.

Price: 6.80rm for Lava cake, 3.50 rm for green bean

Overall: 2/5 not worth your calories


尚食堂
新山区最近掀起了一阵风，甜品风。先有Udessert，后有sweethut。
让整个市场充斥着选择。刚开不久的尚食堂，走中消费路线，以新朝的装修来吸引年轻顾客群。
那天，我刚好在bukit indah jusco , 就顺路去那里试吃。

下午3点，正直下午茶时间，店里空无一人，毫无买气。
经过，店里的介绍，她强力推荐chocolate lava cake with green tea ice cream.
另外，我太太就点了，传统的绿豆汤。

个人评语

食物 2/5 绿豆汤，煮得太希，味道比起家里煮得还不如。
Chocolate lava cake, 没有达标，lava cake 放入
碗里，让人没太多的惊喜，也证明厨师的功力还没有到家。制作lavacake 的难度在于，外形像
普通的chocolate 蛋糕，里面的液体chocolate会在吃的过程
溢出来。假如烘培的时间不对，蛋糕会很容易破。

环境：1／5 以cafe而言，隔壁的修车场传来的噪音，非常大杀风景。装修再好也无补于事。

价钱：6.80rm lava cake 3.5rm 绿豆汤

整体：2／5 不值得

Shi Yue Kopitiam Cheng Teng // 十月餐厅里的甜汤档

this Cheng teng stall has been around for over 10 years according the youthful looking boss, is responsible for


dishing out this dessert with lots of ingredients in it. The unique ingredient that really surprise me was the


 pigeon egg...(see pic) i have never eaten this in all the cheng teng in Singapore..But hey, they actually go well 


together!!, the cheng teng is a favorite with the locals..for 1.80RM is well worth your time to have a try..oh by


 the way, this stall is inside a kopitiam called shi yue or October

甜汤，甜丝丝，清凉去火气！


非常感谢Jojo Chen , 昨天带大家去尝试这档甜汤。令小弟我，清热解毒，神清气爽。
位于Johor jaya bawakali, 这档在十月餐厅里的甜汤，听说以已经卖了十多年，依然保持水准，实在难得。
更令我惊叹的是，清汤里竟然有放鹌鹑蛋！这是我在新加坡从未尝试过的。更想不到的是，味道竟然那么搭！而且一碗才1.80rm!
好了，话不多说，以下乃个人口味的评分。

环境：2／5
